Please join us for this special event with the Pro Football Hall of Fame at the Haggin Museum!
What: Annual fundraising event ~ Haggin a la Carte ~ which consists of beer, wine and food tasting.
Why: A temporary exhibition entitled: PRO FOOTBALL and the AMERICAN SPIRIT: The NFL and the U.S. Armed Forces. This exhibition is owned and toured by the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio and The Haggin Museum is currently the only West Coast venue where the exhibition will be displayed. The exhibition chronicles the many ways in which the National Football League and its players have responded to American’s call during military conflicts. Some of the items in the exhibition include Pro Football Hall of Famer Art Donovan’s Army uniform; the career medals of General Earnest Cheatham, pro football’s highest ranking former player; the Cleveland Browns sideline jacket of Don Steinbrunner, one of only two NFL players to perish during the Vietnam War; and Pat Tillman’s Army Ranger uniform.
Over the years, funds raised at this event have been used to increase educational programming, bring exciting new temporary exhibitions, provide free school tours for our community, conserve paintings in the Museum’s collection, and enhance galleries.
